College GameDay Built by The Home Depot is making its way back to Happy Valley this season for its sixth trip to State College, Pa., originating from the Old Main lawn on Penn State’s campus on Saturday, Sept. 29 (9 a.m. – noon ET) and simulcast on ESPNU.

This is the show’s ninth time appearing at an Ohio State-Penn State matchup, tieing the Big Ten game with Alabama-LSU as the most attended matchup in GameDay history.

Live programming, including SportsCenter and College Football Live, will occur throughout the day on Friday, Sept. 28, and leading into the show on Saturday morning.

Host Rece Davis, who is joined by Lee CorsoKirk Herbstreit, Desmond HowardDavid Pollack and Maria Taylor, as well as contributors Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica, Jen LadaTom Rinaldi and Gene Wojciechowski.

ABC’s Saturday Night Football will showcase No. 4 Ohio State at No. 9 Penn State (7:30 p.m.), as the Nittany Lions annual White Out game is showcased on the network once again. Two seasons ago, Penn State beat the Buckeyes in dramatic fashion in the White Out, as Penn State blocked a field goal attempt and returned it for a touchdown, giving them the lead late in the fourth quarter. Last season in Columbus, the Buckeyes outscored their Big Ten foe 19-3 in the fourth quarter in the come-from-behind victory. This week, a new chapter will be written. Chris Fowler, Herbstreit and Taylor will call the game from Beaver Stadium

Show Highlights

  • Natural Born Winner – What we see on the gridiron is just a sample — Penn State QB Trace McSorley has always been the ultimate competitor, when it comes to EVERYTHING! Reporter: Gene Wojciechowski
  • Family Affair – Being a newlywed, and living in his in-law’s basement is no big deal for Syracuse OL Koda Martin – even if his father-in-law happens to be Orange Head Coach, Dino Babers. Reporter: Jen Lada
  • Promise Kept – It’s been 10 years since Tim Tebow’s fiery postgame speech, later coined “The Promise” – the words still echo in college football history. Reporter: Tom Rinaldi
  • “Snell Yeah” – Putting up impressive numbers while sporting a rally-cry tattoo, & donning a mouthguard with spinners – is making Kentucky running back Benny Snell Jr. the most interesting “cat” in college football.
