Halle Bailey is opening up about the impact motherhood has had on her life so far. Speaking about her postpartum journey to Entertainment Tonight on the 2024 BET Awards red carpet, the 24-year-old said the past six months with her son Halo have been a whirlwind.
“It’s been so beautiful,” she said. “I’ve never been more in love with something, someone in my life. I look at him, and I can’t believe he’s mine. I’m just so grateful.”

Bailey welcomed Halo with her rapper boyfriend DDG back in January of this year. She said her life has improved since ushering him into the world. “The Little Mermaid” star recently completed a film project in Virginia—her first since giving birth—and said balancing motherhood and work has been a breeze as she takes Halo wherever she goes.
“He [was] living with me there,” she said. “I can’t function unless I know he’s near me. Yeah, it was the best time. He loved it there.”
Fans and spectators alike have also taken notice of her svelte physique since giving birth. The “Do It” songstress was initially mum on the details of her exercise regimen, but credits hot yoga and boxing for her postpartum fitness transformation. She said these activities not only helped sculpt her shape, but also boosted her confidence within herself.
“I’ve just been feeling stronger and more confident in myself,” she said. “So I’ve been going to hot yoga. I’ve been doing a lot of boxing classes, anything just to get me sweating really hard, and I have seen a difference in myself, so I’m happy about it. I’m like, ‘Wow, okay, this is cool.’”
Before bidding adieu to Entertainment Tonight on the BET Awards red carpet, Bailey shared one baby milestone she’s basking in right now—the introduction of Halo’s first teeth.
