COURTESY ROLLINS COLLEGE

Rollins College’s Cornell Fine Arts Museum has tapped Gisela Carbonell as its new curator.

Carbonell joins the Winter Park, Florida institution following her time in Naples, Florida, where she served as director of curatorial affairs at the Baker Museum.

She began her work with the college this week, where she will also serve as liaison with Rollins faculty and students, alongside Ena Heller, the director of the Cornell Fine Arts Museum.

Heller said in a release, “We are so pleased that Dr. Carbonell is joining our team as the Cornell’s next curator; she brings to Rollins the perfect mixture of museum expertise, classroom teaching and nuanced scholarship that will help take our museum to its next institutional level.”
