Nationwide — Karen Maria Alston, founder and CEO of The Spectrum Circle of Washington, D.C., will honor eight influential women at The Spectrum Circle Awards Luncheon on May 20, 2022. The honorees will be celebrated for their excellence in career achievement and commitment to uplifting women. Over 180 attendees will be present to celebrate the accomplishments of women from around the country. This event will take place at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington, D.C., from 12:00PM-3:00PM EST.

“The Spectrum Circle is a community of women and a development platform that allows for the sharing of ideas, experiences, and life lessons, which informs about the diversity in our journeys. Now, at this pivotal time in our history, more than ever, the stories of women are critical to the future of our country. We live in an ever-changing global society, however bias, soft bigotry of low expectations, and politics continue to negatively impact our everyday lives,” said Karen. “It’s a dream realized. From a two-page white paper I wrote in 2015 to a platform supported by major corporations. As women, we must support, uplift, and tell our stories. Our future generations are depending on us to combat gender inequality.”
