Over the weekend, the NCAA Women’s Final Four was held in Tampa, Florida (The UConn Huskies won their 12th title). To celebrate the momentous occasion, Boardroom, Chase, and the Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson hosted an intimate invite-only dinner. The star-studded evening, which was held at SiX Tampa, brought together a dynamic mix of power players across sports and business. The night also marked the official launch of Wilson’s new partnership with Chase, which was announced earlier in the day.
VIP guests included basketball stars Allisha Gray (Atlanta Dream), Chelsea Gray (Las Vegas Aces), Jewell Loyd (Las Vegas Aces), former WNBA Champion & Athletes Unlimited athlete Theresa Plaisance, George Amoore (Kentucky Wildcats, 2025 WNBA Draftee); sports executives Kate Schoff (Managing Director, Sports & Entertainment Marketing Strategy, JPMorganChase), Tara Bakhle (Executive Director, Sports & Entertainment Marketing Strategy, JPMorganChase) , Laura Correnti (Founder & CEO, Deep Blue), Terri Jackson (Executive Director, WNBPA), Jasmine Robinson (Managing Partner, Monarch Collective), Jessica Robertson (Co-Founder, Togethxr), Esther Wallace (Founder, Playa Society), Tanya Hvizdak (VP Global Women’s Sports Marketing, Nike); ESPN journalists Monica McNutt, Andraya Carter, Arielle Chambers, Ros Gold-Onwude, and women’s basketball insiders and iHeartRadio hosts Khristina Williams and Terrika Foster-Brasby.

As guests enjoyed signature cocktails and premium bites, they were also able to take in a lively fireside chat between WNBA champions A’ja Wilson and Sydney Colson. The duo offered candid insight on the growth of women’s college basketball and how it’s impacting the W, NIL, planting seeds for the next generation and a look ahead at the WNBA season. Wilson, who just won her third MVP award last season, also touched on her new partnership with Chase. The Columbia, South Carolina native stated, “”I’m so grateful to be with Chase, and I got to announce it and post it on my Instagram [today]. WNBA women’s basketball is such a hot topic. But sometimes I feel like brands may just be like, okay, let’s just do this because it’s hot right now. I feel like brands like Chase and other brands – and I’m blessed to be partnered with them – know that it’s for the long term, the longevity of it. That’s how we continue to grow the game. We can’t just stop because it’s cool or just want to be a part of it because it’s cool. No, invest in these women and watch them grow.”
In addition to the gems attendees received from the conversation, guests were also gifted with a free copy of Wilson’s best-selling book, Dear Black Girls. Congrats to A’ja and Chase on the new partnership and shout out to Boardroom for hosting the amazing event. Check out some photos from it below!
