Lévy Gorvy gallery, which has locations in New York and London, has added Bona Yoo to its team as a sales director. She will be based at the gallery’s New York space and starts in her new position today.
Yoo was previously a director at Lehmann Maupin, where she headed up the gallery’s efforts to expand its presence in Korea. (Last year, the gallery opened an outpost in Seoul.)
Prior to that, she was a sales director at Kukje Gallery in Seoul, where she focused on artists related to the Dansaekwha movement.
In a statement, Dominique Lévy, cofounder of Lévy Gorvy, said, “She has deep knowledge and passion for 20th century art, and has an incredible global network, with expertise and experience working in Asia, and Korea in particular. She will be responsible for furthering Lévy Gorvy’s relationships and connections to collectors and institutions internationally, and lead as client liaison for all our Korean contacts.”
