ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball presented by Taco Bell returns to Colorado for the first time since 2001, this Sunday, April 7, as the Rockies and Nolan Arenado host the defending National League Champion Los Angeles Dodgers and Cody Bellinger. The telecast will begin at a special start time of 8:30 p.m. ET.
The second-year Sunday Night Baseball team of Matt Vasgersian, Alex Rodriguez, Jessica Mendoza and Buster Olney will provide commentary on ESPN. Additionally, Roxy Bernstein will describe the action on ESPN Radio with analyst Chris Singleton. Both the ESPN telecast and the ESPN Radio audio are available on the ESPN App. Sunday Night Baseball is also available on ESPN Deportes and ESPN Deportes Radio.
Sunday Night Baseball’s return to Colorado
ESPN has televised Major League Baseball games in Colorado throughout the years, though this weekend marks the return of its signature baseball franchise, Sunday Night Baseball. The last time Sunday Night Baseball emanated from Coors Field was July 22, 2001, and against the Dodgers. The Dodgers defeated the Rockies 9-8 (via Elias). The commentator team of Jon Miller and analyst Joe Morgan provided commentary.
Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown presented by Chevrolet will precede Sunday Night Baseball from 7:30-8:30 p.m. on ESPN2 and the ESPN App. The show will originate from ESPN’s Bristol, Conn. studios. Karl Ravech will host the show with analysts Mark Teixeira and Tim Kurkjian.
World Series Champion Boston Red Sox Home-opener
ESPN will document the Boston Red Sox home-opener on Tuesday, April 9, with a live, national telecast of the Red Sox vs. Toronto Blue Jays game at 2 p.m. on ESPN. Prior to the game, Baseball Tonight will hit the road for a live pre-game show from 1-2 p.m. The show will include live coverage of the Red Sox World Series Championship banner ceremony. Kevin Connors will host Baseball Tonight with analyst Mark Teixeira. Karl Ravech will then call the game with analysts Eduardo Perez and Tim Kurkjian. The game telecast is subject to local blackout restrictions in the Boston market.

Tonight, April 3, ESPN will continue its season-opening slate as the Chicago Cubs and Kris Bryant visit the Atlanta Braves and Freddie Freeman at 7 p.m. Jon Sciambi will call the action with analysts David Ross and Tim Kurkjian.
