ESPN Unveils Industry Leading Fall Collegiate Sports Line-Up

ESPN will continue its unrivaled coverage of fall collegiate sports this season with more than 180 televised men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball and field hockey matchups available across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, Longhorn Network and the soon-to-launch ACC Network.  An additional 2,500+ games will be available to stream via ESPN3, ACCNX, SEC Network+ and ESPN+—the premium direct-to-consumer video service from The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI) and ESPN.

NCAA Division I Soccer
The 2019 slate of men’s and women’s soccer boasts more than 115 televised regular season games across ESPNU, ACC Network, Longhorn Network and SEC Network.

The men’s slate begins Sunday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. ET, with Creighton at No. 4 Wake Forest—serving as the first men’s soccer game to air on ACC Network. Highlights of the men’s regular season schedule include:

• Three top-25 matchups on ESPNU:
  • 12 Virginia at No. 10 Duke on Friday, Sept. 13, at 6 p.m.
  • 24 Michigan at No. 2 Indiana on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 3 p.m.
  • 24 Michigan at No. 1 Maryland on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m.
• Appearances by 13 of the nation’s preseason top-25 including seven in the top 10 : No.1 Maryland, No. 2 Indiana, No. 3 Akron, No. 4 Wake Forest, No. 6 North Carolina, No. 9 Notre Dame, No. 10 Duke, No. 12 Virginia, No. 13 Georgetown, No. 14 Louisville, No. 16 Virginia Tech, No. 17 James Madison and No. 24 Michigan

The women’s slate begins Friday, Aug. 16, with Air Force at No. 19 Texas at 8 p.m., on Longhorn Network. Highlights of the women’s regular season schedule include:

• Seven appearances by reigning national champion and top-ranked Florida State, including a rematch of the 2018 title game when the Seminoles travel to North Carolina to take on the Tar Heels on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m., on ACCN.
• Eight top-10 matchups on ACCN; Three top-25 matchups on ESPNU

ESPN’s coverage of collegiate soccer will continue throughout the post season on the road to the College Cup, carrying the full men’s and women’s ACC championship tournaments and SEC women’s championship tournament, as well as additional conference championships available across ESPNU and digital networks. NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball
The 2019 slate of women’s volleyball features more than 65 televised games across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network, Longhorn Network and SEC Network. The first games will air on Friday, Aug. 30, at 8 p.m. with No. 6 Illinois traveling to No. 19 Tennessee (SECN) and Northern Iowa at No. 4 Texas (LHN). Highlights of the regular season women’s volleyball schedule include:

• Three appearances by reigning national champion No. 1 Stanford; two appearances by runner-up No. 2 Nebraska
• 8 Penn State at Michigan State on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 1p.m. on ESPN
• Three top-10 match-ups on SEC Network:
  • 1 Stanford at No. 10 Florida on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 8 p.m.
  • 10 Florida at No. 7 Kentucky on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m.
  • 7 Kentucky and No. 10 Florida on Sunday, Nov. 17, at 3 p.m.

• Katie George: Three-time first team all-conference setter for Louisville
• Jennifer Hoffman: All-American at Louisville
• Karch Kiraly: Current coach of the U.S. Women’s National Volleyball team. Four-time Olympic gold medalist. The only player to win gold in both beach and indoor volleyball.
• Holly McPeak: Three-time beach volleyball Olympian who took home the bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. The third-most decorated beach volleyball player with only Kerri Walsh-Jennings and Misty May-Trainor holding more titles.
• Salima Rockwell: Three-time All-American setter for Penn State and two-time team captain for the U.S. National Team

NCAA Division I Field Hockey
New to ESPN’s portfolio of networks this year is a seven-game regular season slate of Division I Field Hockey on ACC Network.  The Network will also cover the ACC conference championship. The schedule opens with a double header on Sunday, Sept. 8, with Princeton at Wake Forest (11 a.m.) and U Penn at North Carolina (1 p.m.). The Tar Heels won a record seventh NCAA title last year with Princeton and Wake Forest making it to the semifinal round.

Alex Perlman and Leah Secondo will call the action for every field hockey matchup on the network.
