ESPN launches its 30th regular season of MLB on Thursday, March 28 with three games on ESPN and over 10 games on the network across opening week. The World Series Champion Boston Red Sox will have multiple appearances on ESPN, including Opening Night in Seattle, called by the Sunday Night Baseball crew, and the team’s World Series banner raising ceremony April 9.

Baseball Tonight
Baseball Tonight will start the season on the road at Yankee Stadium as the New York Yankees host the Baltimore Orioles on Opening Day. Keith Olbermann will host the show with analyst Mark Teixeira at noon, leading into the game at 1:00 p.m. on ESPN.

April 9, the show will travel to Boston for the unveiling of the Red Sox 2018 World Series banner raising ceremony. Kevin Connors and Mark Teixeira will host the show, airing at 1:00 from Fenway Park, leading into the Red Sox game vs. the Toronto Blue Jays at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN.

SportsCenter
Leading up to Opening Day, SportsCenter is airing video vignettes surrounding the start of the season. March 25, Senior writer Buster Olney highlighted potential stars to watch this season. March 26, reporter Tim Kurkjian will recognize the most memorable first pitches, and March 27 Kurkjian will walk through the best stories for Opening Day.

Play-by-play analyst Roxy Bernstein will call the game beside analyst Chris Singleton. Singleton continues opening week by calling the Atlanta Braves-Philadelphia Phillies game with Jon Sciambi as well as the Chicago Cubs-Atlanta Braves game with Adam Amin.

ESPN+ will offer more than 180 MLB regular season games this season, beginning Opening Day with Bryce Harper’s debut with the Philadelphia Phillies at 3:00 p.m.
