  • Key content presented in three major scoring formats;
  • Led by multiple Hall of Fame fantasy sports writers;
  • Fantasy Focus Baseball Podcast twice weekly.

ESPN Fantasy Baseball returns for 2018 with a comprehensive mix of insight and analysis to support dedicated fantasy baseball players who require up-to-the-minute news, tools and statistical information throughout the baseball season.

ESPN’s Fantasy Baseball editorial team is anchored by three Fantasy Sports Writers Association (FSWA) Hall of Famers: Eric Karabell, Tristan Cockcroft and Stephania Bell, as well as veteran ESPN writer (and former Mr. Met!) AJ Mass. Fantasy Baseball contributors also include veteran talent evaluator Tommy Rancel, who covers minor league prospects, FSWA Hall of Famer and baseball analytics pioneer Ron Shandler, and reigning FSWA Baseball Writer of the Year Todd Zola.

Presented in three different formats – traditional rotisserie, head-to-head roto and head-to-head points – ESPN’s Fantasy Baseball content is designed to meet the needs of all fantasy baseball players no matter the major scoring method they prefer.

“Fantasy baseball players are among the most dedicated fantasy players there are,” said Pierre Becquey, deputy editor, fantasy and esports. “It takes a real commitment to play a full fantasy baseball season over the course of six months, so all of our content has to match and exceed the dedication of fans playing ESPN Fantasy Baseball, regardless of the scoring format they choose. That’s how we keep the game growing.”

The cornerstone of ESPN’s Fantasy Baseball content is its Daily Notes, which provide player rankings for pitching and hitting, as well as vital information for setting a lineup every day of the season. It has become a daily must-read for tens of thousands of fantasy baseball players using all scoring formats and game platforms, including other season-long and daily fantasy baseball games. This season, ESPN Insiders looking for an edge will also have access to daily “X-Factors” generated by Derek Carty’s THE BAT projection system, which highlights potential difference-making factors such as weather, ballpark dimensions and umpire assignments.

Beyond the daily grind, ESPN Fantasy Baseball provides fans forward-looking content, including prospect rankings with 2018 values, closer charts and three overall ranking lists for each major scoring format. Also, the Fantasy Focus Baseball Podcast, hosted by Karabell and Cockroft, posts two shows a week through the entire regular season.

ESPN Fantasy Baseball is available on web at ESPN.com and the ESPN Fantasy App, the No. 1 fantasy sports app, on iOS and Android devices. Like all ESPN Fantasy games, ESPN Fantasy Baseball is free to play.
