ESPN and Caffeine, a social broadcasting platform for live gaming and sports, announced today that portions of the X Games Aspen 2019 will be available on the Caffeine platform, giving fans a new way to connect online and experience the event together.

Around ten hours of X Games Aspen content will be available on an X Games-branded channel on Caffeine for users to watch with friends. With Caffeine users can also host their own interactive streams featuring X Games content – a main differentiator of the platform.

Additionally, users will be able to watch and chat during shows on Caffeine hosted by accomplished athletes including Olympic gold medalist and five-time X Games gold medalist Maddie Bowman, Olympic bronze medalist and four-time X Games medalist Brita Sigourney, and Olympic bronze medalist and four-time X Games medalist Scotty Lago.

“Working with companies like Caffeine provides the X Games exposure to potentially new audiences while giving X Game fans another innovative way to experience the event,” said Tim Reed, VP of the X Games. “Caffeine’s mission to bring fans together complements our company mission to serve sports fans, anytime, anywhere.”

Added Ben Keighran, CEO of Caffeine: “Live sports have long brought friends and fans together, whether at events or while watching at home. By bringing the X Games Aspen to Caffeine, ESPN is making it possible for sports fans and friends to cheer on and chat with their favorite athletes while watching them online.”
