Emcee N.I.C.E. is a multifaceted Christian hip-hop artist known for his roles in music as a producer, rapper, songwriter, record executive, actor, and award-winning recording artist, among others. With over three decades in the music industry, he made his mark in Christian rap in 2017, adding his seasoned flavor to the genre. With six no. 1 records, he’s collaborated with several gospel artists over the years including Fred Hammond, Canton Jones, Everett Drake, and Bishop Cortez Vaughn, to name a few.
Recently inducted into the Christian Hip-Hop Hall of Fame, Emcee N.I.C.E. continues to put in the work and embrace his legacy through using his platform to inspire through his music, while influencing the next generation of Christian Hip-Hop artists to follow in his footsteps.
“When I came in, these doors wasn’t really open, so I’m one of the dudes that’s out here revolutionizing or trailblazing ways for artists like myself and other Christian artists to come in and flourish,” he shared in a recent interview with Elev8.
Unwavering in his faith, Emcee N.I.C.E. makes sure to remain Christ-like and lead as an example no matter where he may be, allowing that to be the ultimate reflection of his character and deep-rooted beliefs. Through trial and error, as well as trusting God’s timing, Emcee N.I.C.E. exemplifies what it means to allow God to direct your path—beginning in Christian hip-hop, transitioning into secular music, and eventually returning to the exact place God called him to be two decades later.
As he continues to embody resilience and faith, he embraces his journey while holding steadfast to the promise of Jeremiah 29:11, a constant reminder of all God is capable of doing in one’s life when they believe.
“God says He has that plan, but the plan is all contingent upon you believing,” N.I.C.E. said.
