Day Six at Wimbledon: ESPN+ to Stream 14 Courts – Del Potro vs. Paire for Slot on “Manic Monday”

Day Six at Wimbledon on Saturday, July 7, has the conclusion of Third Round play, and ESPN has all the action exclusively in the U.S. with ESPN, ESPN3 and – making its Major tennis debut this week – the new ESPN+ service with coverage of 14 courts.  ESPN+’s offerings will include:

• Court 2 where the first match will pit #5 Juan Martin del Potro – a Wimbledon semifinalist in 2013 – vs. Benoit Paire.
• Court 3 where #17 Ashleigh Barty faces #14 Daria Kasatkina, followed by #12 Jelena Ostapenko facing Vitalia Diatchenko of Russia who ousted Maria Sharapova in the First Round. The final match of the day on Court 3 will include the American mixed doubles team of Jack Sock and Sloane Stephens, the reigning US Open women’s singles champion.  They will play Marcelo Demoliner and Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez.
• The final match of the day on Court 8 will feature a Ladies’ Doubles match with the five-time Major champion team of Lucie Safarova and Bethanie Mattek-Sands who suffered a terrible knee injury at last year’s Wimbledon. They will square off against Kaia Kanepi and Andrea Petkovic.
• The first match on Court 4 will pit the top American junior – 18-year-old Sebastian Korda of Florida, the son of the 1998 Australian Open champion Petr Korda – against Otto Virtanen of Finland.

Overall, ESPN+ will offer Courts 2-9, 11, and 14-18.  Gentlemen’s and Ladies’ singles matches are listed in the grid below (action begins at 6 a.m. ET on Courts 4, 8, 9, 11, 15 and 16; other ESPN+ courts begin at 6:30 a.m.; all matches available on demand until the end of the tournament; most courts will have Doubles and/or Juniors competition).

For the first time at the All England Club there are cameras on every court.  ESPN’s coverage – first ball to last ball – includes more than 500 matches, all available for fans between ESPN3 and the new ESPN+ on the ESPN app; 140 hours of action will be on TV.  The action will climax with the Ladies’ Championship and the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Doubles Championships on ESPN on Saturday, July 14, and the Gentlemen’s Championship on Sunday, July 15, followed by the Mixed Doubles Championship.

In addition to live matches, throughout Wimbledon ESPN+ also will offer:

• Match Replays – every match that airs live on ESPN+ will be available for the entire tournament
• Wimbledon Archive Matches – 50 of the great Wimbledon matches of all time
• Official Wimbledon Films – Up to 30 one-hour films produced by AELTC and IMG.
• Daily Highlights Show – 52-minute show produced by IMG each day
