The Wimbledon fortnight commences tomorrow, Monday, July 1, with 64 singles matches on the docket and ESPN has all the action exclusively in the U.S. with ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN3, all starting at 6 a.m. ET. The matches from 14 courts on ESPN+ will include Court Two where the order of play begins with three-time Major champion #22 Stan Wawrinka, followed by 2018 Australian Open winner #14 Caroline Wozniacki, rising star #7 Stefanos Tsistipas and #3 Karolina Pliskova, a former #1 and one-time US Open finalist.
Overall, ESPN+ will stream live matches from 14 courts: 2-4, 6-11 and 14-18 (Court No. 17 only after the opening match with #17 Madison Keys finishes).
Meanwhile, ESPN will show defending champion #1 Novak Djokovic opening play at 8 a.m. on Centre Court against Philipp Kohlscreiber. Second on Centre will be two-time Major champion #2 Naomi Osaka vs.Yulia Putitntseva, followed by No. 30 Kyle Edmund of Great Britain facing Jaume Munar. The No. 1 Court – now outfitted with a retractable roof – also starts at 8 a.m. and will see #7 Simona Halep play Aliaksandra Sasnovich, #6 Alexander Zverev vs. Jiri Vesely and – in a compelling cross-generational matchup – at 15, the youngest-ever qualifier, American CoCo Gauff, will play 39-year old Venus Williams, the oldest woman in the draw.
ESPN’s day will start at 6 a.m. with the first match on Court 17, American #17 Madison Keys vs. Luksika Kumkhum. The network will also have the action from Court 12 (includes American Caty McNally vs. Britain’s Heather Watson, Canadians #19 Felix Augur-Alisassime and #15 Milos Raonic and Alize Cornet vs. Victoria Azarenka).
