Day Five at Wimbledon marks the start of the third round Friday, July 5, and #14 Caroline Wozniacki vs. Shuai Zhang will headline the matches on ESPN+ which will offer 12 courts. Other matches will include #11 Daniil Medvedev vs. #21 David Goffin and #8 Elina Svitolina vs. #31 Maria Sakkari. In addition, although not currently slated for a time and court, the debut of the high-powered mixed doubles team of Serena Williams and Andy Murray will be seen on ESPN+.
ESPN is presenting all the Wimbledon action exclusively in the U.S. with ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN3. Overall, ESPN+ will stream live matches from 12 courts: 2, 3, 5-8, 10 and 14-18.
Meanwhile, ESPN will present 10.5 hours of coverage, featuring American phenom CoCo Gauff plus top-seeded Novak Djokovic, #7Simona Halep vs. Victoria Azarenka in a battle of former Major champions and 6’11” American youngster Reilly Opelka vs. #15 Milos Raonic.
ESPN & Wimbledon
As in 2018, every match from the 18 courts at the All England Lawn Tennis Club will be played in front of cameras. ESPN’s coverage – first ball to last ball – includes 145 hours on television plus more than 500 matches all available for fans between ESPN+ and ESPN3 on the ESPN app. The action will climax with the Ladies’ Championship and the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Doubles Championships on ESPN on Saturday, July 13, and the Gentlemen’s Championship on Sunday, July 14, followed by the Mixed Doubles Championship.
ESPN+ will stream live the following 14 courts at Wimbledon, Friday, July 5 (player’s ranking in brackets):
