Curator formerly known as Aaron Cezar wows as Prince – News On Media

Pitch-perfect Prince: Cezar apparently does a fine rendition of Kiss, thanks to his “mean falsetto” Photo: © Tim Bowditch; Courtesy of Delfina Foundation
Our spies in Singapore tell us that Aaron Cezar, the director of the Delfina Foundation in London—home to the UK’s largest international artist residency programme—gave a sparkling performance at a dinner held during the Art SG fair last month when he sang by popular demand— and in his own inimitable style—the song “Kiss” by the late pop star Prince.
“It wasn’t an impersonation, but I have mean falsetto that sounds just like him,” Cezar tells us.
The dinner in question was organised by the non-profit foundation The Institutum in collaboration with Delfina’s Politics of Food programme. “People loved it! I mean, I had people stopping me in the fair who had not been to the dinner but saw the performance on Instagram,” Cezar says. This homage to the purple prince of pop was all in a good cause, helping Delfina to raise funds for a campaign aimed at securing its base in central London: £7m is needed in total. Perhaps Aaron can put on a Prince tribute concert in the nearby gardens of Buckingham Palace?
The designer consulted restorers at the National Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum and Tate Britain for his latest collection
Other events planned around the popular song concert include a print party
