A 12-year-old entrepreneur had the police called on him because he accidentally cut someone else’s grass, according to News 5 Cleveland.
Reginald Fields runs his own business, Mr. Reggie’s Lawn Cutting Service, in Maple Heights, Ohio and was working on Lucille Holt’s yard on Saturday when her neighbors called the police on him for cutting a section of grass on their property.
“They said I was cutting their grass. I didn’t know it!” Reggie told News 5.
In a video that has gotten thousands of views on Facebook and posted by Holt on Saturday, you can see cops talking to the neighbors while Reggie and his family are working on her yard.
“I guess I have a line where part of it is now my yard. They called the police to tell the police that the kids [were] cutting [their] grass,” Holt said in the video.
The police didn’t talk to Reggie and only talked to the neighbor. He said he felt discouraged by the whole incident.
“I was like, that’s a shame. I didn’t know,” Reggie said.
The incident and Holt’s viral video has ended up being a boon for Reggie’s business.
“People are inboxing me like, ‘how can I get in touch with this children? Where are they at? I got property I want these kids to cut,’” Holt told News 5.
Reggie, who works with his brothers, sisters and cousins, said that he’s getting a lot of calls and plans to buy new equipment to expand his business.
“Just give me a call. I will be there. On time!” He said.
The station reports that the neighbors saw the Facebook video, but declined to be on camera.
