Condo, the enterprising gallery-share program, has revealed the list of participants for its first Mexico City edition, which opens on April 14 and runs through May 12. Organized by Ana Castella, director of the local gallery joségarcía, mx, the Mexico City version of Condo will feature 22 galleries in the Mexican capital hosting 49 of their peers from around the world.

The latest in a line of Condo programs follows previous versions in London and New York. (A mini-version of Condo called “Condo Unit” will be open in São Paulo this weekend, and a Shanghai version is currently being organized.) The first edition of Condo, held in 2016 in London, was conceived by its founder, Vanessa Carlos, director of the Carlos/Ishikawa gallery there, as a corrective to the art fair model. Its goal had been to help young galleries afford to show abroad at a low cost.
