ABC’s Saturday Night Football will feature undefeated No. 6 Notre Dame in its toughest road challenge to date as the Fighting Irish will match up against No. 24 Virginia Tech under the lights at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Va., (8 p.m. ET) for the first time in the school’s storied history.
The prime-time, ranked matchup highlights an ESPN/ABC schedule which will include a ranked team on ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 in every Saturday game window, including No. 1 Alabama (ESPN), No. 4 Clemson (ESPN), No. 8 Auburn (ESPN2) and No. 9 West Virginia (ESPN2). SEC Network will also televise No. 2 Georgia, as 14 ranked teams in total will be featured on an ESPN network.
Exit Light, Enter The Fighting Irish: Ranked Virginia Tech Welcomes Notre Dame for First Time in Prime Time
The Fighting Irish have two wins against ranked teams this season, however, the Hokies will be Notre Dame’s first ranked road opponent of the season. Adding to the challenge, the matchup is the Fighting Irish’s first game in prime-time outside of South Bend, Indiana, this season and, as mentioned, its first trip to Virginia Tech. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Maria Taylor will call the game.
Highly Ranked Teams on the Road Versus Conference Opponents Highlight ESPN Slate
ESPN’s first three games on Saturday will feature highly ranked teams on the road in conference play, beginning with No. 1 Alabama at Arkansas (noon), followed by No. 4 Clemson at Wake Forest (3:30 p.m.) and No. 13 Kentucky at Texas A&M (7 p.m.). Dave Pasch, Greg McElroy and Tom Luginbill will call the Crimson Tide-Razorbacks, while Beth Mowins, Anthony Becht, and Rocky Boiman will be in Winston-Salem, N.C. with Sean McDonough, Todd Blackledge, and Holly Rowe in College Station, Texas. The network will conclude the day with No. 14 Stanford hosting Utah (10:30 p.m.), as Adam Amin, Rod Gilmore, and Quint Kessenich will be in Stanford Stadium.
No. 17 Miami Hosts Rival Florida State and No. 15 Michigan in Big Ten Play Lead into Saturday Night Football
ABC will be the network for ranked teams at home in week 6, as No. 15 Michigan welcomes in Maryland (noon) and No. 17 Miami hosts its rival Florida State (3:30 p.m.) leading into the aforementioned Hokies hosting Notre Dame. Steve Levy, Brian Griese, and Todd McShay will be in Ann Arbor, Mich., while Bob Wischusen, Brock Huard, and Allison Williams will be in Miami Gardens, Fla.
No. 8 Auburn, No. 9 West Virginia and No. 25 Oklahoma State in Conference Play all Showcased on ESPN2
The Big 12 will be showcased on ESPN2 to begin Saturday, as No. 9 West Virginia hosts Kansas (noon) and No. 25 Oklahoma State welcomes in Iowa State (3:30 p.m.). The network’s tripleheader concludes with No. 8 Auburn heading to Mississippi State (7:30 p.m.)

- Prime-time Bulldogs: No. 2 Georgia will host Vanderbilt in prime time on SEC Network (7:30 p.m.)
- Looking to Stay Perfect: 23 NC State hosts Boston College on ACC Network Extra (12:20 p.m.) and No. 12 UCF welcomes in SMU on ESPNU (7 p.m.) as both the Wolfpack and Knights look to stay undefeated.

ESPN+ will continue the college football conference play theme, as 15 conference matchups from the Ivy League, MAC, Missouri Valley, Ohio Valley, Southern and Sun Belt will be streamed this coming week as part of the subscription platform’s nearly 20 game schedule in week 6.
