Cardi B is having a stellar April so far. Not only was she finally able to share her pregnancy with the world, but she dropped debut album, Invasion of Privacy, to critical and fan acclaim. In the week since it’s release, it has managed to go gold and has now broken Taylor Swift’s Apple Music streaming record, according to The Verge.
Invasion of Privacy has already been streamed 100 million times, which is nothing short of impressive, considering this is her first “official” project. This doubles the previous streaming record held by Swift for last year’s Reputation.
Cardi has also surpassed other major albums, including The Weeknd’s Starboy and Ed Sheehan’s Divide.
The news comes in the midst of Swift catching hell from Twitter for her folk-country cover of Earth Wind & Fire’s “September.”
