Big Latto is on the cover of Ebony’s December issue – and the girlies are gagging. Not only did the “Big Energy” rapper look stunning in the editorial, but she also slayed in a furry ensemble that has us googling and changing up our holiday wish lists.
Latto’s cover style combines vibrant colors and nostalgic vibes with fashion-forward aesthetics. Styled by Matthew and Reginald Weisman, her cozy look is exactly what bold fashionistas need in their closets. Now.

Latto pairs a bright yellow crop fur top that shows off her fit abs with an unexpected furry Louis Vuitton miniskirt. The white and multicolored skirt features the brand’s iconic Y2K bright monogram canvas print.
Hugging her curves just right, her skirt gives major throwback vibes.
Latto’s beauty look is just as fierce. Her sleek ponytail and blunt bangs channel old-school femcee energy. And her makeup pops, adding the right amount of glam and over-the-top luxury.
But Latto’s fashion parade didn’t stop there. Other looks included designers like Alexander McQueen, Versace, and Vivienne Westwood and featured hot pieces like corsets, bodysuits, and, of course, more fur.
This bright, in-your-face moment comes after a major year for the rap star. In August, she dropped her third album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, and continues to come into her own through her music.
In her Ebony cover story, Latto opens up about her journey of growth and self-love, inspired by her hit track “Big Mama.”
“I think ‘Big Mama’ has just allowed me to redeem myself, build up my confidence to an all-time high, and just build this wall between me and outside commentary. It’s like there’s nothing you can say that will make me feel less than myself,” she shares. “This is my chance to redeem myself, as in, to myself.”
Latto doesn’t hold back, candidly discussing how she’s learned to trust her process.
“I feel like my whole career has been that – growing pains – and people telling me what I should and shouldn’t do,” she says. “So many times, I would let them get in my head, like, ‘This not popping off fast enough’ or ‘this person surpassed me.’ But you really do have to trust God’s plan and God’s timing. I’m so grateful for my journey now.”
Her slow and steady climb to stardom is something she celebrates, too. “I feel like me having this slow and steady incline has been more beneficial to me than just blowing up super fast and then setting this high tone that I’m forever gonna be chasing. You know what I’m saying? I’m grateful for the baby steps.”
