Let’s be honest: Queen Beyoncé could talk about anything at this point and make the world pay attention. When she speaks, we listen, and, more importantly, we get in formation.
So, it only makes sense that NBC tapped the Cowboy Carter artist to officially introduce Team USA and give the 2024 Paris Olympics even more buzz and excitement.
That’s right—the world stopped again, Olympics style.

Beyoncé appeared in a prerecorded segment on July 26 during the Olympics’ opening ceremony activities and fanfare. The iconic singer was the definition of the “American Woman,” surrounded by a dazzling display of patriotism, unity, athleticism, and good ol’ Beyoncé swag.
“Hello, girls,” she said, walking into the video frame, to which a female chorus replied, “Hello, Beyoncé.”
“Hello, fellas,” the star continued with a country twang. “You’re pretty swell,” male voices responded.
Reflecting the theme of the momentous occasion, Beyoncé wore a sparkling red, white, and blue ensemble complete with a body-hugging leotard, dramatic cape, custom boots, and a cowboy hat. She styled her hair in a buss down middle part with sleek, shiny platinum blonde tresses. Beyoncé’s makeup had a soft glow, highlighting her natural beauty (and that of the nation).

Blue Ivy’s mother exuded pride as she welcomed viewers to “get a look at America, y’all,” which was an obvious nod to the strength of diversity amid an arguably polarized time.
Beyoncé continued, “These hopes and dreams, these superstars that represent us. The people of this big, bold, beautiful, complicated nation. All rooting – together – for them.”
The Olympics segment featured a remix of Beyoncé’s hit song “Ya Ya.” The music played in the background as she introduced a roster of star athletes, including Simone Biles, Sha’Carri Richardson, and Noah Lyles.
“Born to fly, destined to inspire,” Beyoncé smiled as she mentioned “her girl Simone.”
“We’ve got superstars and legends. We’ve got big dreamers who fought their whole lives to get here, who gave up everything for one shot – and made it,” Beyoncé continued as other familiar faces popped up. Of note are NBA superstar LeBron James and Grand Slam winner Coco Gauff.
The inspirational video spurred a mix of buzz, reactions, and commentary. Some joked that Beyoncé made them feel patriotic and “like an American,” while others praised the Texas native for being in her bag.
Following her world Olympic premiere, Bey dropped a series of carousel posts showing her medal-worthy style. She dressed head to toe in Olympic gear and looked cute, chic, and sporty.
We love her red, white, and blue racer-style jacket, Jacquemus mini denim bag, crop top, and flirty skirt. Get into Beyoncé’s look below, and let us know.
