Loss always hits hardest for the inner circle of those we lose, so it’s no surprise when families take their time before sharing their thoughts and grief with the world. On Wednesday (Aug 21) Talameisha, Beatking‘s longtime girlfriend, took to social media to share a video of the two together along with a touching open letter to the Houston rap legend who sadly passed away August 15.

An artist herself, Talameisha said Beatking was not only her biggest supporter but a true best friend.
“I’ve questioned life.” She wrote. “I’ve doubted my strength through this. I haven’t been eating. And barely sleeping. I don’t know how im functioning. I’m crying because I know he was ready. He was happy. He was loved. This has to be the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Was watch you leave me. I fought and fought but GOD wasn’t letting up. I know you’re with your Mom , and finally moonwalking with our favorite, Michael Jackson. I see everyone’s prayers and encouraging words. It’s helping more than you know. Send me any videos and photos you have of us or him I posted this for yall. Because if you know us , you know he’d want me to keep going. He’d say ‘Mannnn stop crying and drop all that music’ I love yall… and he loves yall …”

In the post’s comment section Bun B showed support for Talameisha as she deals with the road ahead.
“I’m so proud of you. I can’t even imagine the levels of loss you’re dealing with.” Bun responded. “But we know what you guys meant to each other. And we will be here to help you get through this as a village. Lean on us fully. We love Justin and we love you. And we will be here to help you carry on for yourself and for him. May God give you the strength, grace and mercy you’ll need in this season. God bless you from the Trillionaires.”
On August 16, one day after Beatking’s passing, Willie D of the legendary Geto Boys spoke with 97.9 The Box’s Good Morning H-Town about a recent conversation he had with Beatking. He said that in addition to becoming more serious about his health, he looked forward to more family time and pushing his music career even further.
