What does being one of the BEMM 100 Men of Distinction mean to you?

Coming from Morgan State University and seeing Earl G. Graves all over buildings makes this opportunity larger than life. I’m able to show members of my nonprofit that no good deed goes unnoticed.

What are some examples of how you have turned struggle into success?

Being an out-of-towner in a city like Baltimore, you have to prove your authenticity to the people. This city only respects people who put action behind their words.

What is an important quality you look for in your relationships with others?

The best quality I look for in a person is genuineness.

What are some of the immediate projects you are working on?

Currently working on my 4th Annual “Flow Weekend.” It is an annual weekend dedicated to the DMV area to give families a weekend of free fun events for all ages. Includes mini golf, trampoline parks, concert, and celeb basketball game.

What is the best advice you ever received?

My guy Julian Benson told me “Your best network is your own network.” I live by those words to seek out people I want to work with or strive to be like. Create my own relationship and build with them.

What advice you have for other men who want to make a difference?

The biggest advice I can give is to know exactly what you want in life. Once you know, create a plan, execute, and be consistent in that order.

How do you prep for an important business meeting and/or event?

In the morning I listen to a Bob Marley album, make a big breakfast, and do research on whatever my goal is for the day. The music calms my mind, the food gives me energy, and research jogs my brain.

What is your “Extraordinary Impact”?.

I impact my community in several ways. Whether it’s organizing over 1,000 kids to see Black Panther for free, doing weekly visits to nearby schools, or holding free events for kids to meet their favorite people in entertainment. You never know what I have up my sleeves!
