ESPN will be out in full force at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio during the 2019 MLB All-Star event July 7-9, offering expansive cross-platform coverage of the midsummer classic. ESPN’s presence in Cleveland includes exclusive telecasts surrounding the T-Mobile Home Run Derby on Monday, July 8. For the 22nd consecutive time, ESPN Radio will be the home of the All-Star Game’s national radio broadcast as Jon “Boog” Sciambi and analyst Chris Singleton call the event over the airwaves. Audio from the ESPN Radio broadcast, along with other ESPN All-Star and T-Mobile Home Run Derby coverage, is available on the ESPN App.
Baseball Tonight will be in full swing on site in Cleveland, airing several hours of live coverage surrounding the 2019 All-Star event. Sunday, July 7, Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown presented by Chevrolet will air at 6:00 p.m., hosted by Karl Ravech alongside analyst Tim Kurkjian, World Series Champion Mark Teixeira and MLB Insider Jeff Passan. The same group, plus World Series Champion Ryan Howard, will host Baseball Tonight presented by T-Mobile July 9 at 4 p.m. on ESPN before the All-Star Game.
SportsCenter will also be in Cleveland leading up to the All-Star Game. The show will follow Baseball Tonight presented by T-Mobile at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
Other ESPN coverage surrounding the event includes the 2019 MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game featuring a “Cleveland vs. The World” format. It will air on ESPN immediately following the T-Mobile Home Run Derby. Celebrities and baseball legends scheduled to appear include Jamie Foxx, J.R. Smith, Simone Biles, Stipe Miocic, Jim Thome and Ryan Howard. For the first time, Tim Kurkjian’s son Jeff Kurkjian will provide play-by-play with analyst Eduardo Perez.
