Day Four at Wimbledon marks the end of the second round Thursday, July 4, and Americans Sloane Stephens and John Isner – both seeded #9 – will headline the matches on ESPN+ which will offer 14 courts. Other matches will include #1 Ash Barty, defending champ #5 Angelique Kerber and a slew of Americans celebrating Independence Day: Lauren Davis, Amanda Anisimova, Taylor Fritz, Steve Johnson, Taylor Townsend and the Bryan brothers doubles team, Bob and Mike. ESPN is presenting all the Wimbledon action exclusively in the U.S. with ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN3, all starting at 6 a.m. ET.
Overall, ESPN+ will stream live matches from 14 courts: 2-8, 10-12, 14-15 and 17-18.
Meanwhile, ESPN will present 10 hours of coverage, featuring Serena Williams, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Petra Kvitova and a trio of Americans on Court 16: Sam Querrey, Alison Riske and Tennys Sandgren. Also, the timing isn’t definite, but Andy Murray is expected to have a doubles match on Court 1 late in the day. He is teaming with Pierre-Hugues Herbert.
ESPN & Wimbledon
As in 2018, every match from the 18 courts at the All England Lawn Tennis Club will be played in front of cameras. ESPN’s coverage – first ball to last ball – includes 145 hours on television plus more than 500 matches all available for fans between ESPN+ and ESPN3 on the ESPN app. The action will climax with the Ladies’ Championship and the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Doubles Championships on ESPN on Saturday, July 13, and the Gentlemen’s Championship on Sunday, July 14, followed by the Mixed Doubles Championship.
