Twitter-Powered Camera Makes Its College Football Debut on ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot

The College Football Show Presented by All-State Premieres This Saturday, September 1 at 7 p.m. ET

College football is back, and ESPN and Twitter are kicking off the season with a new weekly show and social campaign that brings fans into the conversation and straight into the action.

During the first two weeks of ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot, the Tweet Cam – an innovative social campaign designed for both fans on-site and around the world – will make its college football debut. The Twitter-powered camera will be on the College GameDay set when the show airs live from South Bend, Ind., on September 1 as Notre Dame prepares to host Michigan. Powered by the hashtag #GameDayCam, the Tweet Cam will give fans the ability to get a glimpse of the action and atmosphere surrounding the College GameDay set. When a fan Tweets with the hashtag during the show, they’ll trigger an on-site camera that will deliver real time photos from the set back to them.

Additionally, as announced earlier this year, ESPN’s new weekly show – The College Football Show Presented by All-State – will also premiere this Saturday, September 1 to coincide with the kickoff of the college football season. Hosted by ESPN’s Jason Fitz (@jasonfitz) and Treavor Scales (@TreavorScales), the show will recap the best highlights of the day and preview the biggest game of the week every college football Saturday throughout the season. Fans will be able to interact with The College Football Show through Twitter by accessing the live stream at 7 p.m. ET via @ESPN. They will also be able to set tune-in reminders for the show Tweeted directly to them from @ESPN by Retweeting or Liking this Tweet.
