While Diana Ross is a legend within the world of music, her sisters, Barbara and Rita, have left undeniable marks on their fields as well. Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee became the first African-American woman to become a medical school dean, according to CF Medicine, while sister Rita Ross is currently running for office in their native Detroit.
The Supremes’ lead songstress took to social media to support her baby sister’s political run for Michigan’s 5th district in the State House of Representatives.
“My sister Rita Ross is running for State Representative of the 5th District in Detroit, this is her calling. Please support,” Diana noted on Twitter.
