Morgan State University President David Wilson today announced the school’s commencement venue would remain the same despite predictions of inclement weather.

Wilson said the 142nd commencement would be held at the Hughes Stadium on campus after students voted to remain at the outdoor venue.

To mitigate the effects of potentially bad weather, the University is providing complimentary rain ponchos to graduates and their guests. The ponchos will be made available to the students at their line-up areas and invited guests would be able to receive one as they enter stadium. Ponchos are also available for purchase for 48 cents at the University bookstore.

For those attendees who wish not to be out in the elements, they will have the option to view the ceremony indoors at the USC theater or at the Murphy Fine Arts Center via live stream. The live stream will also be available via the official Morgan State University mobile app.

The ceremony will begin at its regularly scheduled time.
