With JAŸ-Z reportedly headlining the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show, we're looking at 10 artists who could join him onstage.
According to reports, the Brooklyn rap legend has selected himself to headline Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
The news has not been officially confirmed by the NFL or Roc Nation, but that hasn’t stopped the conversation about what a JAŸ-Z halftime performance could look like.

With three decades of hits, countless collaborations and relationships with some of music’s biggest stars, Hov has plenty of options if he decides to bring some familiar faces along for the ride.
From his wife Beyoncé to longtime collaborators like Rihanna and Ye, we’re looking at 10 artists who could make a JAŸ-Z halftime show unforgettable.

To be clear, none of the following artists have been announced as performers. This is our editorial wishlist based on their musical history with JAŸ-Z.
You really thought we’d start somewhere else!? Beyoncé and JAŸ-Z have delivered some of the biggest collaborations of their respective careers, including “Crazy in Love,” “Drunk in Love” and “’03 Bonnie & Clyde.”
Queen Bey already knows her way around the Super Bowl stage, having headlined in 2013 and returned as a special guest in 2016. A Valentine’s Day performance alongside her husband would practically write itself.
If JAŸ-Z performs “Run This Town,” there’s one voice fans would immediately recognize.
Rihanna’s unforgettable hook helped turn the 2009 collaboration into a massive hit. The two also joined forces on “Umbrella” and “Talk That Talk.”
Given their longstanding professional relationship, Rihanna would be one of the most recognizable possible additions.
A JAŸ-Z halftime performance would inevitably spark conversations about Kanye West.
The two built an entire era around their Watch the Throne collaboration, delivering records like “Otis,” “No Church in the Wild” and “N****s in Paris.”
Their complicated relationship makes a reunion far from certain, but the musical possibilities would be difficult to ignore.
This worldwide reunion would also break the internet.
Imagine the opening piano notes of “Empire State of Mind” echoing through SoFi Stadium.
Alicia Keys helped turn the 2009 anthem into one of JAŸ-Z’s most recognizable crossover records. The song remains a celebration of New York City and one of the defining collaborations of his career.
Even with the Super Bowl taking place in California, a live performance would be an enormous moment.
Few guest appearances would carry as much hip-hop history as Nas joining JAŸ-Z.
Their legendary rivalry helped define an era of New York rap before the two publicly reconciled and eventually collaborated on records including “Black Republican” and “Success.”
A joint Super Bowl performance would represent another chapter in one of hip-hop’s most fascinating relationships.
The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul has a history with JAŸ-Z that stretches back decades.
Their collaborations include “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” while their joint Heart of the City Tour in 2008 brought their respective catalogs together.
Mary also performed during the star-studded 2022 Super Bowl halftime show, meaning another appearance would bring some familiar energy to the stage.
Pharrell has been responsible for some of JAŸ-Z’s most infectious records.
From “I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)” to “Frontin’” and “Change Clothes,” their collaborations helped shape the sound of early-2000s hip-hop.
A Pharrell appearance could provide a perfect transition into some of Hov’s biggest party records.
JT gave the Super Bowl halftime show a viral moment before viral moments were even a thing. And JAŸ-Z and Justin Timberlake have already demonstrated their stadium chemistry.
The two teamed up for the massive 2013 hit “Holy Grail” and later toured together on the Legends of the Summer Tour.
Timberlake also has Super Bowl halftime experience, making him an intriguing possibility for a performance built around crossover hits.
This one would certainly get hip-hop fans talking.
JAŸ-Z and Lil Wayne have collaborated on records including “Mr. Carter” and “Hello Brooklyn 2.0,” giving them material to perform together.
Wayne also publicly expressed disappointment after Kendrick Lamar was selected to headline the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans.
An appearance alongside JAŸ-Z could bring that conversation back into the spotlight, although there’s no indication such a reunion is being planned.
J. Cole would represent a different generation of hip-hop talent joining JAŸ-Z on one of music’s biggest stages.
The two collaborated on “A Star Is Born” from JAŸ-Z’s The Blueprint 3, and Cole’s early career was closely connected to Roc Nation.
Bringing Cole into the show could provide a moment celebrating the influence JAŸ-Z has had on the generations of rappers who followed him.
Of course, JAŸ-Z has enough material to carry an entire halftime performance without a single special guest.
But with a catalog that stretches from Reasonable Doubt to 4:44, the opportunity to celebrate his career alongside some of hip-hop and R&B’s biggest names would be hard to pass up.
If the reports prove accurate, the biggest question might not be whether JAŸ-Z has enough hits for the Super Bowl.
It might be how he could possibly fit them all into one halftime show.
Who would you want to see join Hov onstage?
