Valentine’s Day falls on a weekend and we expect all the loving couples or those looking to express their feelings will want to do so over some fine beverages. For this year’s Valentine’s Day drinks roundup, we’ve got some of our favorite brands and sprinkles of new ones that we hope will add to the special moments that will be created.
For this year’s Valentine’s Day roundup, we’ve got a lot of the requisite brightly colored cocktails, spritzes, and even an RTD in the mix this year. The sips for this Day of Love veer towards the sweeter side, so we imagine most of these would make a nice nightcap after a lovely night out or dinner at home.
We’ve got a few brands we’ve featured in Spirit.Ed before and a few new entrants. All of the recipes are really easy to follow and some are even made for two. Whatever your flavor, we believe there is at least one cocktail below worth mixing up for your boo.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz ST‑GERMAIN
2 oz MARTINI Rosé Prosecco (or Still Rosé wine)
2 oz soda water
8 mint leaves
Lime wedge for garnish
Mint sprig for garnish
Method: Pour St‑Germain over ice in a glass. Add mint and top with sparkling wine and soda. Stir to combine all of the ingredients. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge.
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Santa Teresa 1796
0.75 oz Martini Bitter
1 oz Pineapple Juice
0.5 oz Lime Juice
0.25 oz Simple Syrup
Method: Add all ingredients in shaken tin, add ice, shake and strain over glassware. Garnish with pineapple leaf and lime wheel.
We didn’t feature a lot of RTDs (ready-to-drink) cocktails in this roundup but Cutwater is the real deal. This new flavor is right on time for the V-Day weekend too.

2 oz Empress 1908 Elderflower Rose Gin
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
0.5 oz Simple Syrup
Sparkling Wine
Method: Shake on ice, fine strain into a chilled flute, top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Dulce Vida Grapefruit Tequila
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
¾ oz Orange Liqueur
1 oz Rose Liqueur
Soda water, top
Garnish: Rose petals
Method: In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, fresh lime, orange liqueur, rose liqueur, and ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into a tall collins glass filled with ice. Top with soda water. Garnish with rose petals. Cin Cin!
Ingredients:
2 oz Kōloa Coconut Rum
.5 oz Orange Liqueur (Cointreau or Grand Marnier)
.5 oz Rose Hibiscus Syrup
2 oz Fresh Rose Water Lemonade (equal parts simple syrup, lemon juice and rose water
Combine ingredients and shake. Strain into a martini glass.
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Dos Maderas Rum 5+3
3 oz unsweetened coconut milk
0.75 oz strawberry syrup
0.75 oz pineapple juice
0.5 oz lime juice
Directions: Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake to combine and strain into Double Rocks glass or Highball glass.
Directions: Build in a shaker, shake, and strain into a flute or stemmed wine glass. Top with Prosecco (or Brut for a drier finish) and garnish with a fresh strawberry slice.
Directions:
Pour all ingredients into a glass full of ice and stir gently Garnish with a slice of grapefruit.
Ingredients:
2 oz St-Rémy Signature
0.7 oz Lemon Juice
0.3 oz Grenadine Syrup
0.3 oz Hibiscus Syrup
1 Egg White
1 Edible Flower
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake. Double strain into a footed glass. Garnish with an edible flower and serve.
2 oz Codigo Rosa
1 oz Lime Juice
0.75 oz Simple Syrup
3 Raspberries (muddled)
Raspberry Garnish
Method: To prepare, simply add all the ingredients to a shaker, shake vigorously, strain into a glass, and garnish with raspberries.
Ingredients:
2 parts Milagro Cristalino
10 parts Champagne
1⁄2 part Cointreau
Grapefruit peel to garnish
Method: Pour all ingredients into a champagne flute to combine and garnish with grapefruit peel. Nothing says I love you like champagne, and adding Milagro Tequila is the perfect way to spice up your date night.
Method: Add lime juice and sugar to a shaker and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Pour in the BACARDÍ Superior rum and fill the shaker with half-cubed ice, followed by some half-crushed ice. Place the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled. Finally, strain through a fine tea strainer into a chilled coupette.
Ingredients:
1.4 oz METAXA 12 Stars
1 oz White Chocolate Liqueur
0.7 oz Cream
Directions:
Add all ingredients into a shaker. Shake well. Strain cocktail into a glass. Garnish with grated dark chocolate and a rose petal
Ingredients:
1¾ oz Rémy Martin VSOP
3/4 oz strawberry syrup (or one bar spoon simple syrup and 3 muddled strawberries)
2/3 oz fresh lemon juice
1/3 oz egg white
Directions
Shake all ingredients together and strain over crushed ice. If you are using fresh strawberries, muddle them first, before adding the other ingredients and shaking. Garnish with a fresh strawberry and mint.
Ingredients:
5oz Waterloo Watermelon Sparkling Water  
1 Whole Kiwi
2 Basil Leaves
Kiwi Slice
Watermelon Slice
Directions:
Peel kiwi and muddle with basil leaves and 2oz Waterloo Watermelon in a cocktail shaker.
Top with ice and shake to chill. Pour into glass with a fine mesh strainer and stir to get all the infused liquid out. Top with an additional 1oz Waterloo Watermelon. Garnish with slice of kiwi and watermelon.
