Unique Design X, Mexico City's newest art fair, returns for second edition

The newest satellite fair to join the festivities of Mexico City's Art Week, Unique Design X, debuted last year with both a fair presentation and an “object park” on Plaza de la República in the shadow of the Monument to the Revolution, with bespoke rails and ramps that visitors were welcome to skateboard around.

This year the nomadic fair—which launched in 2019 in Shanghai and has also held editions in Paris, Miami and Savannah, Georgia—is back at Expo Reforma (6-9 February) alongside Material, showcasing functional and decorative objects by artists and studios based in Mexico City, elsewhere in the Americas and throughout Europe.
Despite postponing the traditional art fair, organisers found a way to hold shows and create a sense of occasion
