Megan Thee Stallion brings her story to the big screen with her latest project, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, a documentary that details the rise of the illustrious rapper’s career. She will give fans an intimate view of life behind the scenes of her Grammy Award-winning stage persona, her entrepreneurial ventures, and more. Directed by Emmy Award winner Nneka Onuorah, the documentary shares all aspects of the rapper, from career highs to the unfortunate lows that kept her name circulating in the media.
“Follow the Houston native’s journey on the road to stardom as she tenaciously navigates fame, grief, pressure, and success. The documentary unpacks Megan’s most vulnerable moments in a powerful way that allows fans to meet the real Megan Pete,” the film description reads.
The Houston Hottie shared the good news to her 32.7 million followers in an Instagram post.
“Hotties my documentary is out Oct 31st I’m nervous and excited for yall to see it butttt it’s finally here,” she wrote.
The documentary will stream on Amazon Prime on Halloween, one of Megan’s favorite holidays. In January 2024, the film’s director signed an exclusive first-look TV and film deal with Amazon MGM Studios. Onuorah earned her first Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding directing for a reality program for her work on Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls, which aired on Amazon Prime. This is one of the many projects Onuorah will bring to the Amazon platform, and we are excited! Her knack for extracting triumph, vulnerability, and creativity from her subjects to the big screen is exemplary.
We’re excited to see this dynamic duo team up for the In Her Words documentary. Will you be watching?
