I’m excited to announce that the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC, is hosting an event titled “Fresh Talk: Influence and Collecting” on Wednesday, June 12, from 4 to 6 pm. Leading curators and collectors will explore how art moves through the modern market and is acquired, donated, and displayed. Attendees will gain insights into how women and nonbinary individuals can influence women artists’ representation in private and public art collections.
As a relatively new art collector, this discussion will be invaluable in helping me gain insights into the art market and be a responsible steward in the art community. After the panel, there will be a Catalyst Cocktail Hour.
Event attendees will hear from Schwanda Rountree, attorney and independent art consultant and Myrtis Bedolla, owner and founding director of Galerie Myrtis based in Baltimore, Maryland.
I am elated to share that the National Museum of Women in the Arts provided The Black Curation readers a special discount to attend this special event. Use the promo code SUMMER. The discount code must be entered in the highlighted promo code box before selecting your tickets. Once the promo has been entered, select the number of tickets you need and add to cart. Discount is only applied to the ADULT price type. Below, I provided the promo code instructions.
I plan on attending the event so please say hello! Special thank you to the museum for inviting me to attend and sharing a special discount code.
