ESPN will be the exclusive home of the NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Championship for the 11th consecutive year, beginning Wednesday, May 9, with the opening round game featuring Robert Morris and Canisius (4 p.m. ET, ESPN3). The first round of the championship includes four matchups on Saturday, May 12, and four matchups on Sunday, May 13, to be played at the sites of the top-8 seeds. Tournament action continues with the quarterfinals on Saturday, May 19, and Sunday, May 20, from Hempstead, N.Y., and Annapolis, Md. All matchups will be played on ESPNU.

The semifinals and championship title game will be played over Memorial Day weekend, from Gillette Stadium in Boston. Anish Shroff, Quint Kessenich and Paul Carcaterra will call all the action on Saturday, May 26 (noon & 2:30 p.m., ESPNU), and Monday, May 28 (1 p.m., ESPN2).

Coverage Highlights

  • Ben Reeves and No. 3 Yale are coming off a loss to Ivy League-winner Cornell; will face UMass in the first round
  • Two compelling rematches from the regular season: Virginia vs. No. 6 Loyola (May 12, 7:15 p.m.), and Cornell vs. Syracuse (May 13, 7:15 p.m.)

ESPN will also provide coverage of the NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship, with championship weekend taking place at Kenneth P. Lavalle Stadium (Stony Brook, N.Y.) from May 25-27. John Brickley, Sheehan Stanwick-Burch and Halley Quillinan will call all the action on ESPNU and ESPN3.
