The 42-year-old TV personality and father of 12 recently shared that he’s studying to earn a master’s degree in child psychology, as well as a Ph.D. in divinity, PEOPLE reported.
“… The presence of a father and how much will they need you and the Freudian aspect of reverting back to your childhood trauma, or the lack thereof. Nature vs nurture. These are conversations I have several times every single day,” Cannon said during an appearance on “The Language of Love with Laura Berman.”
The “Wild N’ Out” host said he is focusing heavily on learning more about the mental and behavioral health needs of his children as well as nurturing his own mental health through therapy.
“I’m living, whether in therapy on my own or even just wanting to make sure that every single child has what they need, developmentally. And emotionally. I’m studying the brain and at what point does sensory matter,” Cannon told Berman.
In December 2022, Cannon welcomed his 12th child, daughter Halo Marie, with model Alyssa Scott, as previously reported by theGrio.
Cannon’s other children include the fraternal twins he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey, Monroe and Moroccan. He is also father to sons, Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah and daughter, Powerful Queen, with model Brittany Bell.
He additionally has twin sons, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, as well as daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin, with DJ Abby De La Rosa. Cannon shares son, Legendary Love, with model Bre Tiesi, and daughter, Onyx Ice, with model LaNisha Cole.

Cannon recently shared with HotNewHipHop that he is additionally processing how to approach introducing his younger children to their several other siblings.
Regarding all 12 children gathering in the same room at the same time, Cannon said: “As much as that may be a wish of mine, I’ve got to respect that’s not a wish of everyone’s.”
“I think that we’ll get there,” he continued. “One of the things I’ve witnessed from some of my elders in the game, once the children get of age to make their own decisions, it’ll happen. Because they’re currently under their mothers’ jurisdiction, I’m trying to play by the moms’ rules. But once they can make their own decisions, I would hope and pray that we’ll have established a strong enough relationship that they’ll want to come hang out with me.”
