Teen asks mom to prom Instagram

They say you can never pay back your parents but a high schooler asked his mom to prom for a very special reason.

Nassir made our hearts melt on social media when prom pictures of the Pennsylvania high school student and his beautiful age-less momma surfaced, reports the Atlanta Black Star. Nassir said on Instagram that his mom sacrificed and missed her prom because she had given birth to him just six months before prom day.

‘Southern Charm’ couple says they face racial tension from Black people “I don’t represent the ghetto”

Now years later, he’s making her the belle of the prom and giving her an opportunity to experience a special prom night with her thoughtful son.

Nassir asked him mom @MsLadyFa to be his prom date on Instagram and… I’m not crying… you’re crying! Just read the conversation below:

“Son: Mom, would you like to be my date to my senior prom?

Mom: Aww. What made you ask me?

Son: Because I remember when you were getting ready for my 8th grade formal, you told me that you didn’t go to your senior prom because you had me six months prior & you rather spend your money on your 1st apartment..

Mom: I would be honored!! Son: You deserve it!

@LadyFa added, “At that moment I knew I did a great job raising him.#RaisingKings #Dope Mom #DopeSon”

Indeed.

Prom dress giveaway

Another inspiring prom story caught our eye a few weeks ago.

Miki Riddick is paying it forward by letting a girl in need have a night to remember in her prom gown.

According toYahoo, Riddick posted a photo of herself in the sparkly sequined prom gown she wore on her own big night in 2016 on Instagram and thought I’d be a good idea to let another teen wear it for free.

“Hi, I’m willing to let a girl in *need* use my prom dress.” To sweeten the generous deal she added:  “I have shoes for you as well as a makeup artist if you need that as well. NOT CHARGING YOU ANYTHING, JUST HAVE A GREAT NIGHT!!!!!”

Miki Riddick received an overwhelming response and tons of supportive messages.

“I didn’t expect it to get this much attention at all,” she says. “It’s something I’d do on a normal day for anyone. I’m really happy this all happened though.”

Riddick’s post went viral and she quickly found her young lady in need.

Now other young ladies are following suit and lending out their old prom dresses to help other young ladies who can’t afford to glam up for the special night.

“So many people are inspired to be selfless now in their everyday acts,” Miki Riddick says. “I want things like this to not be so abnormal.”
