The Winter Antiques Show, which runs annually in New York, announced today that it has hired Helen Allen as it new executive director.

Previously, Allen served as the executive director of Ramsay Fairs for nine years. She was the founder and executive director of the Pulse Contemporary Art Fair, and consulted on the establishment of Art Hong Kong, the fair that later became Art Basel Hong Kong. Additionally, she has worked at Christie’s in Rome and New York, as well as the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

In a statement, Michael Lynch, a co-chair of the show, said, “We are pleased to announce Ms. Allen’s new role as executive director of the Winter Antiques Show. We believe that she will lead the Winter Antiques Show to new heights from its current position as one of the world’s leading antiques, art, and design fairs.”

The next Winter Antiques will open January 17, 2019.
