A national, nonpartisan nonprofit is partnering with seven Baltimore Starbucks to educate and register new voters ahead of the Maryland primary election April 28.

Black Girls Vote, founded by Nykidra Robinson, works towards a “mission to engage, educate, and empower women of color, especially those ages 18-25, to use the political process. We are dedicated to using our collective voice to transform areas where bias has the most profound impact on women of color — policy and legislation,” according to a press release.

Part of this mission will be “taking over” local Baltimore Starbucks and reaching out to Baltimoreans as they step in for their morning coffee.

“What a great way to kick off Women’s History Month,” Robinson said via press release. “This is a great opportunity for Black Girls Vote to engage all voters and potential voters. We’re thrilled to have this partnership with Starbucks and looking forward to continuing our nonpartisan efforts.”

The campaign kicks off at The Rotunda, 711 West 40th Street, March 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
