ESPN today announced its game selections for the first half of the 2020 season of Sunday Night Baseball presented by Taco Bell – the exclusive, national Major League Baseball game of the week. Blockbuster rivalries and top MLB superstars highlight the schedule.

Sunday Night Baseball telecasts generally start at 7 p.m. ET and are preceded by Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown presented by Chevrolet at 6 p.m. Sunday Night Baseball is available on ESPN, the ESPN App, ESPN Radio and ESPN Deportes. This marks the 31st consecutive season of ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball franchise, which started in 1990.

The 2020 Sunday Night Baseball campaign begins on March 31 when the Chicago Cubs, new manager David Ross and Kris Bryant visit the Milwaukee Brewers and Christian Yelich at 7 p.m. For the rest of ESPN’s MLB season-opening schedule, which includes MLB Opening Night featuring Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels vs. Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros, visit ESPN Press Room.

2020 Sunday Night Baseball schedule highlights:

  • Blockbuster Rivalries: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants (April 5); Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees (May 10, June 14); St. Louis Cardinals at Chicago Cubs (April 12);
  • Top MLB Superstars: 2019 MLB Award winners expected to appear include A.L. and N.L. M.V.P.’s Mike Trout and Cody Bellinger; Cy Young’s Justin Verlander and Jacob deGrom; Rookies of the Year Yordan Alvarez and Pete Alonso; plus Jose Altuve, Mookie Betts, Alex Bregman, Kris Bryant, Gerrit Cole, Paul Goldschmidt, Aaron Judge, Clayton Kershaw, Max Scherzer, Christian Yelich, and more;
  • Historic Matchups: a blockbuster June culminates with back-to-back weeks of the Chicago Cubs squaring off with the Boston Red Sox (June 21) and the New York Yankees (June 28). These regular-season series’ will happen for only the sixth time in history;
  • Banner Game: the New York Yankees visit the St. Louis Cardinals (July 19) in a matchup between the two MLB Clubs with the most World Series Championships;
  • Five current appearances by Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, and Rafael Devers and the Boston Red Sox;
  • Four current appearances by Anthony Rizzo and the Chicago Cubs
  • Three current appearances by Christian Yelich and the Milwaukee Brewers, Pete Alonso and the New York Mets, and Paul Goldschmidt and the St. Louis Cardinals;
  • American League Heavyweights: the Houston Astros, who have appeared in two of the last three World Series’ collide with the New York Yankees (May 17) and the Boston Red Sox (May 24);
  • GEICO MLB Little League Classic from Williamsport, Pa. home of the Little League World Series. The fourth annual event on Sunday Night Baseball will feature the Boston Red Sox vs. the Baltimore Orioles.
