Bowls, Polls and Champions Examined as Part of ESPN College Football 150
ESPN College Football 150’s theme this week is Bowls, Polls and Champions as the history of how the sport has crowned a national champion is examined. For generations, America seemed content to agree to disagree when it came to picking a college football national champion. Tactics ranged from polls to computers to the creation of the BCS. Now, the College Football Playoff brings a clearer process. The American Game will delve into this history (Tuesday, 8 p.m. ESPN), while The Greatest (Thursday, 7 p.m., ESPN) will look at sport’s biggest ‘What-Ifs’.
