All Singles and Doubles Matches Streaming Live on the ESPN App
Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic – the top two ranked players in the world – will battle for the coveted year-end top ranking as ESPN presents first ball-to-last ball coverage of the year-capping Nitto ATP Finals, with 10 hours of television and an additional 50 hours on ESPN3. The invitational singles and doubles round robin event takes place at London’s O2 Arena from November 10 – 18. ESPN’s Patrick McEnroe, Darren Cahill and Brad Gilbert will call the matches on TV.
Far ahead of the rest of the field, Nadal and Djokovic are separated by 640 points. Should Nadal clinch year-end No. 1 at the Nitto ATP Finals for the fifth time, the 33-year old from Spain would be the oldest player to do so in history.
In addition to Nadal and Djokovic, the eight-man field includes Roger Federer who has won the event a record six times, US Open finalist Daniil Medvedev, Dominic Thiem who reached the French Open final the last two years, 21-year-old Stefanos Tsitsipas, 22-year old Alexander Zverev who claimed the ATP Finals title last year, and 23-year old Matteo Berrettini, the first Italian player to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals in singles since Corrado Barazzutti in 1978.
The field is split into two groups for the round robin stage. Group A includes Nadal, Medvedev, Tsitsipas and Zverev while Group B is comprised of Djokovic, Federer, Thiem and Berrettini.
The eight-team doubles field for the Nitto ATP Finals is led by Wimbledon and US Open champions Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah, who have already clinched year-end No. 1 for 2019. Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo, Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus, Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies, Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau, Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury, Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut, and Ivan Dodig and Filip Polasek have also clinched their berths at The O2 in London.
Daily Coverage Starts November 10
Coverage of both singles and doubles begins Sunday, Nov. 10, with the first of four days of action on ESPN3 with round-robin matches at 7 a.m. ET, 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Starting Thursday, Nov. 14, ESPN3 will continue to present matches not on live TV. That day and Friday, ESPN2 will show singles matches at 3 p.m. On Saturday, Semifinal #1 airs on ESPNEWS at 9 a.m., and that day at 3 p.m. the second semifinal will be seen live on ESPN3. It will air on ESPN2 on Sunday at 6 a.m.
On Sunday, Nov. 18, ESPN3 will show the Doubles Championship at 10:30 a.m. and the Singles Championship will be live on ESPN at 1 p.m.
