Abdul Fuller, 42, of Upper Marlboro, was apprehended by Prince George’s County Police after they say he tried to kidnap two women during separate incidents in Fort Washington, two days before Halloween, according to their accounts.

Authorities claim Fuller targeted the first woman while she was walking along Stonesboro Road during the early afternoon around 2 p.m. on October 29, in a statement from the Department. The victim in that incident suffered only minor injuries.

“The preliminary investigation reveals he grabbed her from behind, put her in a chokehold and tried to force her into his green 1998 Ford Expedition,” the report states. “The victim’s screams alerted several nearby residents who rushed to help her. Fuller fled from the scene.”

Then approximately, one hour later around 3 p.m., police say Fuller again tried to kidnap another teenage girl on Arundel Drive.  However, in this case another neighbor who heard the girl screaming interceded and Fuller ran off again.

“The victim screamed for help, again alerting another resident in the area who intervened. Fuller fled again,” the report continues.

Within 15 minutes detectives responded to the second report and were reportedly talking to witnesses when the suspect returned in the same SUV used in both incidents.

Once Fuller saw the officers, he allegedly tried to avoid them by turning around by using an escape route through Allentown Road. However, the patrol officers immediately stopped his SUV and he reportedly was placed into custody safely without any problems.

“When [Fuller] saw the officers, he turned around and headed back onto Allentown Road,” the report states. “Patrol officers immediately stopped his SUV and took him into custody without incident.”

They said he was arrested without incident and later admitted to investigators that he tried to kidnap the woman and the girl. Fuller has been charged with attempted kidnapping, attempted kidnapping of a child under 16, and second-degree assault. He is being held on a no-bond status.

Police also said he did not know either of the victims and they are reportedly concerned that there may be other victims or people who have had a similar experience with Fuller.  However, the investigation is ongoing.
