- ESPN Radio to Broadcast Every Game, Baseball Tonight to Air Every Game Night
- SportsCenter Hits the Road for the World Series
ESPN will provide extensive, cross-platform coverage of the 2019 Major League Baseball Postseason, culminating with the 115th World Series presented by YouTube TV. For the 22nd consecutive season, ESPN Radio, with coverage presented by AutoZone, will broadcast every game and Baseball Tonight presented by Chevrolet will air following every game on ESPN2 or ESPNEWS.
ESPN Radio’s coverage of the National League Division Series presented by Utz Snacks and the American League Division Series presented by Doosan begins Oct. 3 and Oct. 4, respectively. ESPN Radio’s coverage of the National League Championship Series presented by GEICO and American League Championship Series presented by GEICO, starting Oct. 11 and Oct. 12. ESPN Radio’s MLB Postseason coverage culminates with the 115th World Series presented by YouTube TV, beginning Tuesday, Oct 22. ESPN Radio commentators
ESPN legend Chris Berman, celebrating his 40th anniversary at ESPN, will call the National League Division Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves. Berman will call Games 1 and 2, and then games 4 and 5 (if necessary) alongside analyst Rick Sutcliffe. Adam Amin will join Sutcliffe in the booth for Game 3. Jon Sciambi and analyst Jessica Mendoza will call the National League Division Series between Los Angeles Dodgers and the Washington Nationals. The duo will then call the National League Championship Series.
Dave Flemming and analyst Jim Bowden will call the American League Division Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Houston Astros. Dan Shulman and analyst Chris Singleton will call the American League Division Series between the Minnesota Twins and the New York Yankees, before calling the American League Championship Series. Buster Olney will join the team for both the ALDS and ALCS. Shulman and Singleton, along with analyst Tim Kurkjian, will then call the World Series.
A rotating team featuring Kevin Winter, John Brickley, Chris Villani and Jim Basquil will host 30-minute pre-game shows on ESPN Radio prior to each League Division Series and an hour-long show prior to each League Championship Series and World Series game. Mark Kestecher will host the World Series pre-game show.
Baseball Tonight and SportsCenter Coverage
Veteran host Karl Ravech will lead postseason Baseball Tonight coverage, primarily alongside World Series Champion analyst Mark Teixeira and veteran analyst Tim Kurkjian. Additionally, World Series Champion analysts David Ross and Ryan Howard, analysts Doug Glanville and Eduardo Perez, and reporter Jeff Passan will regularly contribute to coverage.
ESPN2 will televise the Baseball Tonight: World Series Preview show on Monday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m. to recap the Division and League Championship Series and look ahead at the World Series. Baseball Tonight will also be on site at the World Series with two shows each day on ESPN2, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., bookending the 6 p.m. edition of SportsCenter, which will be on site at the stadium. Sage Steele and Karl Ravech will host on-site World Series coverage.
SportsCenter will have a rotating team of on-site reporters throughout the playoffs, including Buster Olney, Jeff Passan, Stefano Fusaro, Marly Rivera, Alden Gonzalez and Pedro Gomez.
