ACC Network (ACCN), the new, 24/7 national platform dedicated to ACC sports, will highlight ACC women’s basketball with unprecedented national television coverage for the 2019-20 season.

ACCN will exclusively air 60 regular-season games in its debut season, including 42 conference matchups, representing a 75 percent increase in the number of ACC women’s basketball events available on ESPN’s linear networks over last year.

  • Nonconference Play Tips on Nov. 11

ACC women’s basketball coverage on ACCN gets off to a strong start with North Carolina hosting Navy on Monday, Nov. 11. Louisville and Notre Dame make their first appearances on the network three days later, on Thursday, Nov. 14, marking the first doubleheader of the season. Three-time Women’s Final Four participant Louisville meets Central Michigan at 6 p.m. ET, while two-time NCAA Champion Notre Dame plays Michigan State at 8 p.m.

Other marquee nonconference matchups include Syracuse hosting preseason top-ranked Oregon on Sunday, Nov. 24, along with a pair of Big Ten/ACC Challenge doubleheaders on Wednesday, Dec. 4 and Thursday, Dec. 5. Miami hosts Indiana and the Fighting Irish welcome Minnesota on Dec. 4, while North Carolina hosts Illinois and Florida State plays Michigan State on Dec. 5.

  • ACC WBB Double and Tripleheaders

ACCN will feature 18 doubleheaders and five tripleheaders on Thursdays and Sundays throughout the season. Conference play on ACCN tips off on Sunday, Dec. 29 with Boston College hosting NC State at noon followed by Wake Forest playing at Miami at 2 p.m.

Conference matchups highlight five Sunday tripleheaders on ACCN set for Jan. 5, Jan. 12, Jan. 26, Feb. 9 and Feb. 23. The first tripleheader on ACCN on Sunday, Jan. 5 includes Wake Forest welcoming Georgia Tech at noon, Duke playing at Louisville at 2 p.m. and Syracuse hosting Notre Dame at 4 p.m.

Rivalries will reignite this season with at least six fierce rivalry games on ACCN. Virginia and Virginia Tech meet on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 3 p.m. and again on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. in the Commonwealth Clash. Miami plays at Florida State and NC State hosts North Carolina on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively. Duke and North Carolina play their first of two games on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m., at Cameron Indoor, and Louisville hosts Notre Dame on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 3 p.m.

Original Programming on ACCN

Along with a full slate of basketball games on ACCN, original programming will also highlight hoops coverage on the network.

A rare, behind-the-scenes look at the 2019-20 Notre Dame women’s basketball program will be showcased leading into the upcoming season in All Access with Notre Dame Women’s Basketball. ACCN cameras had exclusive access to daily team activities along with a variety of off-the-court events, as this program follows the team on its journey toward discovering its new identity through team bonding, sunrise workouts, and practices. The one-hour show will premiere on ACCN on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m.

Eight women’s basketball games are set for net flex selections, with the matchups to be determined for either ESPN2 or ACCN at a later date. In total, more than 70 ACC women’s basketball games will air on ESPN’s networks throughout the 2019-20 season. Additional games on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will be announced in the coming weeks.

The ACC sent eight teams to the NCAA tournament in 2019, with Notre Dame appearing in the national title game for the second straight year and fifth time overall. Five ACC teams are listed among ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25 for 2019-20: No. 8 Louisville, No. 11 Florida State, No. 15 NC State, No. 20 Notre Dame and No. 22 Miami, while the league has five of the top 20 freshman classes as ranked by ESPN Hoopgurlz this season – No. 8 NC State, No. 11 Notre Dame, No. 13 Duke, No. 15 Louisville and No. 16 Florida State.
