ESPN’s “Always Late with Katie Nolan,” a late-night sports comedy show, will return for its second season and make its linear TV debut this Thursday, September 26. The half-hour show hosted by Emmy-winning opinionist Katie Nolan will air on Thursday nights at 12:30 a.m. ET on ESPN2. Episodes feature Nolan’s authentic perspective on the biggest news in sports, plus games, guests, and more.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to bring our unique little show to a platform like ESPN2,” said Nolan. “Keith Olbermann’s leather jacket walked so ‘Always Late’ could run.”
Connor Schell, EVP, Content, ESPN, said: “The tone and attitude of ‘Always Late’ is geared toward a late night audience, and we’re confident this new time slot will showcase Katie’s talent, humor and energy to a broad audience of sports fans.”
In addition to the weekly linear show, Nolan – as part of a larger video agreement with Facebook – will deliver exclusive content to Facebook Watch.
“Always Late with Katie Nolan” launched on ESPN+ in September 2018 and was nominated for a 2019 Sports Emmy. Nolan’s podcast “Sports? With Katie Nolan” had a successful year of growth, with a substantial increase in downloads year-over-year.
Nolan joined ESPN in October 2017, bringing the network her sharp, irreverent and fresh voice on the world of sports, culture and beyond. In addition to hosting “Always Late with Katie Nolan” and the “Sports? with Katie Nolan” original podcast, she also regularly lends her perspective to ESPN studio shows and across multiple digital platforms.
