“Nine. Four. Eight. One. B’Day” was the moment when Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter announced the date of her birth (09/04/81) on her hit track ‘Get Me Bodied,” and we haven’t been the same since.
The “Crazy in Love” singer turns 37 on Tuesday, and we are looking back at some of our favorite moments from her live performances!
The Beyhive, Beyoncé’s extremely loyal fanbase, had to wait a year to see her perform at Coachella. She was originally scheduled to perform in 2017 but had to drop out due to her being pregnant with her twins, Rumi and Sir Carter. When she took the stage in April in the middle of California’s Colorado desert, it was 100 percent worth the wait. Fans got a Destiny’s Child reunion and had us wanting to pledge at BAK. However, the one moment that had people talking for months and had spawned countless of fans trying to nail down is her dance break of “Everybody Mad” by O.T Genesis. The choreography was intense and showed us why she’s the best.
Beyoncé joined Coldplay and Bruno Mars for Super Bowl 50’s halftime show and performed “Formation” for the first time for a television audience of 112 million people. Clad in a Black Panther-inspired outfit, Beyoncé told the world that she was not only a Black woman, but she was proud to be one.

No one would have ever thought that Beyoncé and Channing Tatum would share a stage, but that’s what happened in a 2016 episode of Spike TV’s (now Paramount Network) Lip Sync Battle. Tatum was competing against his then-wife Jenna Dewan when he briefly brought out Bey for his performance of her song “Run the World (Girls).” The crowd, Dewan, Chrissy Teigen and everyone watching went crazy.
Beyoncé was honored with the Icon Award at the 2011 Billboard Music Award and gave a showstopping and visual heavy performance that showed that if anyone ran the world, it would be her.
Beyoncé has tons of iconic moments from the MTV Video Music Awards, but nothing comes close to when she revealed that she was pregnant with Blue Ivy. The singer took the stage and performed “Love on Top” with husband Jay-Z looking on, alongside Kanye West, when she dropped the mic and revealed her baby bump.
Happy birthday, Bey!
