ESPN platforms will carry several significant live baseball events from August 24-26. On Sunday, August 25, two of MLB’s most historic franchises will collide for the first time in nine years on Sunday Night Baseball as the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cody Bellinger host the New York Yankees and Aaron Judge, at 7 p.m. ET from Dodger Stadium. Bellinger will be mic’d up for the telecast. Entering play on August 23, the Yankees and Dodgers currently hold the two best records in MLB.
Matt Vasgersian, analysts Alex Rodriguez and Jessica Mendoza, and reporter Buster Olney will provide commentary on ESPN. Jon “Boog” Sciambi and analyst Chris Singleton will describe the action on ESPN Radio. The ESPN telecast and the ESPN Radio audio will both be available on the ESPN App. Sunday Night Baseball presented by Taco Bell is also available on ESPN Deportes. Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown presented by Chevrolet will precede the Yankees vs. Dodgers game on ESPN at 6 p.m.
ESPN and ABC will combine to carry all four Little League World Series Championship Weekend games from Williamsport, Pa. The team of play-by-play voice Karl Ravech and analysts David Ross and Kyle Peterson will call all four games, while reporters Sebastian Salazar and Julie Foudy will contribute to multiple games.
ABC will broadcast a doubleheader on Saturday, August 24, starting with the International Championship Game presented by T-Mobile – Japan vs. Curacao – at 12:30 p.m. The United States Championship Game presented by T-Mobile – Hawaii vs. Louisiana – will follow it at 3:30 p.m. The ESPN App will also carry the Little League Challenger Game Division Exhibition Game on August 24 at 10:30 a.m.
On Sunday, August 25, ESPN will televise the Consolation – Third Place Game at 10 a.m., followed by the Little League World Series Web Gems World Series Preview at 12 p.m. The Little League Baseball World Series Championship Game presented by T-Mobile airs live on ABC at 3 p.m. on Sunday. All Little League World Series games and shows will be available to stream on the ESPN App.
Additionally, on the August 26 edition of ESPN’s Monday Night Baseball presented by USAA, the Seattle Mariners will host the New York Yankees. Baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. will provide commentary as a guest analyst for the game. “Junior” will join childhood friend and ESPN analyst Eduardo Perez and play-by-play voice Dave Flemming on the call. The telecast starts at 10 p.m. and is subject to local blackout restrictions in the New York market.
ESPN’s early game on Monday, August 26, is a full national telecast with no blackouts as the Milwaukee Brewers host the St. Louis Cardinals in a National League Central showdown at 7 p.m. Jason Benetti will call the action with analyst Rick Sutcliffe and reporter Jeff Passan.
On Sunday, August 25, ESPN+ will carry the Boston Red Sox at San Diego Padres game at 4 p.m. It will be subject to local blackout restrictions in both team markets.
