ESPN will have extensive coverage of two major events on the tennis summer calendar, the Rogers Cup in Montreal and the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The ATP Rogers Cup in Montreal will see ESPN2 airing 16 live hours beginning Thursday, August 8 and concluding with the championship Sunday, Aug. 11, 4 p.m. ET.  Rafael Nadal is the defending champion.

ESPN’s lead tennis host Chris Fowler will be joined by Brad Gilbert and Patrick McEnroe.

The ATP/WTA Western & Southern Open coverage will begin Thursday, Aug. 15, with eight live hours of action from the Round of 16 including two hours on ESPN3 (reaired on ESPN2 later that night).  ESPN2 – airing a total of 30 hours, up from 28 a year ago – will have all four semifinals and the championships Sunday, Aug. 18, at 2 p.m. (WTA) and 4 p.m. (ATP).  Kiki Bertens and Novak Djokovic will be looking for back-to-back titles.

Fowler and Gilbert will also work this event, joined by Darren Cahill, Mary Joe Fernandez, Jason Goodall and Chris McKendry.

ESPN will have exclusive first-ball-to-last-ball coverage of the US Open.  Coverage will begin with qualifying on ESPN+ on Monday, Aug. 19, and also on ESPNEWS and ESPN+ on Tuesday, Aug 20 – Friday, Aug. 23.  Action across five courts will begin at 11 a.m. each day.  The US Open begins Monday, Aug. 26.
