The Outsider Art Fair in 2017.

COURTESY OUTSIDER ART FAIR

The Outsider Art Fair has announced the exhibitor list for its 27th edition, which is set to run next year from January 17 through 20 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York.

The event will feature two curated spaces. One of them, titled “Good Kids: Underground Comics from China” and co-organized by the Noguchi Museum’s Brett Littman and Yi Zhou, a partner at Beijing’s C5Art Gallery, will be focused on zines and drawings by artists from that country. The second, curated by art critic Edward M. Gómez, will be dedicated to the late dealer Phyllis Kind, a mainstay of the fair who died earlier this year. Works by artists affiliated with Kind will be featured in the booth, including Adolf Wölfli, Martín Ramírez and Domenico Zindato.

And among the 67 exhibitors on tap is first-timer Maccarone, of Los Angeles, which will present a solo presentation by actor-turned-political cartoonist Jim Carrey. The full list of exhibitors is below.
